Izyan Suhaila, Shah Alam Natural Reception Makeup

Congratulation to Izyan Suhaila, semoga bahagia ke anak cucu. She happens to be sister to PB entrepreneur Izyan Liyana, which I previously had the honour and trust to do her makeup during her dinner awards. TQ Izyan for the recommendation.

She naturally has beautiful lashes! Her lower lashes is LONGER than my upper lashes! So, to use a fake lashes would be an overkill, since she wanted an all natural look. Although this is a bit stronger than the Lisa Elridge sample soft bridal  makeup requested by her, but I felt it was much nicer to play up her best feature, which is her lovely come hither eyes. And alhamdulillah, she likes this makeup better. With a good base foundation, her skin looks flawless and glowing. By the way, if you are wondering, she is naturally fair. Foundation by NARS, mixed with Kanebo and Kryolan TV Stick for a pixel perfect looking complexion.

Goddess of Glam makeup for Miss Asia International Winner of 2012 - Femina Chaudhry

Femina Chaudhry was winner for 2012 Miss Asia International. I had a delightful opportunity to work with her during her visit to Malaysia as a judge for the Mrs Malaysia Planet event, held in Palace Of Golden Horses last weekend.

Femina has great features and lovely skin. Her foundation in from Kose, to ensure maximum moisture for dewy skin  effect. Her face base is from Laura Mercier and Embryolisse combined with Lancome Genifique serum.

Femina thought me few tricks and tips herself, doing up hair with gel to ensure maximum sleekness. We concocted a cool glitter body powder by mixing MAC pigments and Laura Mercier Stardust loose powder. She looked amazing!

We were also very lucky to have celebrity makeup artist Rose JR in the house. She was a tremendous help in doing up Femina grand hair and saree. Special thanks to her, for steadfast support and inspiring encouragement always.














Hair is done using fake bun, to build up a grand sleek bun, to suit her grand crown, which i do not have a pic of it.... SO SAD!






Initially her concealer was from Graftobian, but it proved to be too dry and we decided to use liquid lifting concealer from Make Up Forever instead.


Her sweet soft blusher is from MAC, bronzer from MAC too. Her beautiful sultry eyes is from Urban Decay, NAKED series, MAC.

Lips is from MAC and CHANEL.

A natural look is never an easy thing to do.....
It takes the right tools, mostly expensive ones... :-(
A whole lot of moisturizing goodies....
A lot of blending and blending the product into the skin...

And time.

A healthy glow has to come from within, so to naturally 'fake it' you have to balance the shimmer and have judgement on the lighting conditions too.

Wei See has been a very understanding client, and it was a pleasure to work with her and her lovely family too. Wei See appreciates natural beauty and loves a 'clean' look.

However, having a dry skin can be a challenge to put on makeup. The product seems to seep into every nook and cranny of the skin, emphasizing wrinkles.  Therefore, moisturing seem to be the key of making sure the makeup look naturally fresh. And of course, the right product too.

The tricky part i find the hardest was, covering imperfections whilst keeping less product used.

Wei See natural fair maiden look is achieve with a whole lot of moisturizing, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Series, a hydration ampoule from Paris, M.A.C Charged Water misting spray. 

Blemishes is covered using Dermacolor, foundation is from KOSE, eyeshadow is from Urban Decay, Lipstick from SEPHORA, blusher from Estee Lauder , MAC. Shimmer from Laura Mercier and MAC. 

NO EYELINER is used in this makeup at all!

Subtle nose contouring technique is used to ensure Wei See looks absolutely natural.

Her fake lashes has been hand cut, to make sure the 'lentik' or curve isnt too showing, a tip shared by Wei See.

Here's my testimonial:

I met Kak Lin only once to discuss about the make up. She is very professional because she took into account what type of make up that I like, what colour will suit my dress, my type of skin, any allergies and she also pointed out some useful advice. Not to mention she is soft spoken and very comfortable to be with.I received quite a lot of compliment from the guests saying that my make up suited me well which makes me look glamorous yet still maintain to look natural. With the make up, honestly I'd say, I do feel so majestic. Yes, majestic. Like a real queen.

I have a sweaty face, which means make up would usually worn off after a few hours. But to my surprise, Kak Lin's make up can last longer than 5 hours. This is because Kak Lin had studied my skin type before she applied the make up. Just look at my photoshoot photos which was taken after the reception around 4-6pm. The glow is still there.

On another note, I do believe that good look starts with a good skin. Make up is only for enhancement. Therefore, for a good and quality make up makeover, Kak Lin is the best. Thank you Kak Lin for making me a Queen for the day!

I find a lot of customers are asking for light natural makeup. 2012 bridal trends seems to ditch heavy opera’ish makeup with spidery false lashes. Brides are now looking to enhance their beauty without hiding underneath layers and layers of powders and heavily kohled eyes.

Another preference for most of my clients are… not wearing false lashes. This is fine, as I have fiber lashes approach for them… but it is more time consuming and expensive compared glueing a strip of fake lashes. Nonetheless, you will enjoy long lashes without the uncomfortable feeling of having an awning on your eye lids.

Anyways, here is my client in Banting recently, with 2012 natural wedding makeup look. I do not have her in complete bridal outfit, I hope she will tag me as soon as she has it, insyallah so I can share with you guys. She is absolutely lovely with natural makeup.

She is a very friendly lady who is always generous with her smile as you can see from the pictures. Here she shines with radiance and natural beauty, without brow shaving and wearing a very natural looking false lashes.

Bdw, I shall blog about my latest solutions for clients who doesn’t like wearing false lashes, but wants to have extra long natural looking lashes  that is absolutely comfortable as your own lashes! Tunggu yaa.

OK, Sheila rarely wears makeup and hence prefers natural makeup. She told me that her friends complimented her and the natural makeup absolutely suits her well.

 She is wearing Kryolan + MAC Satinfinish +Studio Finish foundation to give a radiant healthy look, avoiding the fake Geisha’like fairness. Blush is from MAC+Estee Lauder. Eyeshadow is from Inglot and MAC. Lipstick is mixed MAC Angel+ MAC Pro Long Wear pink.

Her brows look like it has been plucked right? But it hasn’t at all, as Sheila forbids shaving it. I only use MAC PaintPot Barestudy as highlight, and combed it thru with Mary Kay’s brow setting gel to coax the hair into place.
